As a prime real estate hotbed, Chicago is home to many real estate agents, but one Chicago native with a decade of experience has built a reputation as one of Chicago’s best. Known for her dynamic skill set, Ariana Abercrumbie exemplifies integrity, leadership, and service. While her accomplishments in the field of real estate and marketing have caught the attention of Chicago’s foremost real estate firms, she recently joined the ranks of Fathom Realty.
Abercrumbie earned her Bachelor of Science from Bradley University and her Masters in Business Administration from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh. 2009 was her debut year as a licensed real estate agent. In 2020, she joined the Fathom Realty family. She continues to make her mark in the company, specializing in commercial and residential listings.
Why did you pursue a real estate career?
I desire to be a global change agent in my generation, shifting mindsets to achieve what is perceived as impossible. I have a deep desire to encourage others and continually educate them from one generation to the next. A career in real estate will license me to learn and share the principles of ownership, equity, financial security, and overall wealth with my family and others.
Why did you join Fathom Realty?
Multiple reasons. The first thing that stood out to me was that agents could run and operate their business entirely online. I didn’t see how until my research revealed Fathom as a cloud-based real estate company. Secondly, Fathom grants company stock to its agents. I, then, discovered that Fathom recently joined the NASDAQ. A remarkable feat in such a short time…Kudos, Fathom! Furthermore, I did not find another real estate brokerage that offered better commission splits than Fathom. It’s the best I’ve seen.
Josh Harley, the CEO, based part of its company’s work ethic on this message: “Whoever wants to be great must become a servant to all.” -Matthew 20:26. I genuinely believe that one must serve (and follow) before one can truly lead. These are the reasons why I joined Fathom.
Where do you see your real estate business a year from now?
I see my business shifting from residential to more commercial transactions. I see my business and my network extending outside of the Midwest region with an increased presence in the digital marketing world. I also see my real estate business creating an educational space to captivate the unexposed and unaware minds of those who do not know the full gambit of real estate.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
Most people don’t know that I read and study the language of dreams. I don’t think dreams should be ignored. No matter how brief, long, good, comical, strange, puzzling, or scary; Dreams are experiences to heed and keep a record of.
