At Fathom, we want agents to build wealth, both for today and for the future. Our agents have also helped us grow and become profitable, so we believe our agents should share in our combined success. Additionally, giving agents stock helps ensure our core values and guiding principles are aligned with our agents.

As an agent, you can earn stock in two different ways.

Fathom's stock per sale program follows our commission plan structure. In your first 12 sales (before you CAP), you earn $22.50 in stock per transaction and then $4.95 in stock per transaction after 12 transactions (after you CAP)

Building a Team With Fathom


Fathom's Team Plan is designed to help you build a successful team.

Here's how it works:

  • Team leader pays $500 from their side of the sale until reaching CAP of 12 sales.
  • Team members pay $500 from their side of the sale until reaching CAP of 4 sales.
  • After the CAP is reached, transactions are only $99, charged only to the team member.
  • The team leader will only pay a $99 transaction fee after they CAP if they are the ONLY person on the sale.
  • There is only one fee of $85 charged on a lease. The team leader will only pay for this fee if they are the only person on the deal.
  • The commercial transaction fee of 10% is taken off of the top of the deal before the team split. There are no other transaction fees charged on a commercial deal.
  • Leases, commercial, and referrals do NOT count toward your CAP.


Fathom's Spouse Plan


We recognize that spouses share the same home, the same bank account, and more importantly, are "as one flesh". Therefore, we treat spouses as one person when it comes to the Annual Fee, Transaction Fees, and the CAP.

Here's everything in one simple, easy to read list.

Monthly Fees

Short answer: none. Longer answer: Fathom agents do not pay any monthly fees. Zip, zilch, zero, nada.

Annual Fee

Agents pay a $600 annual fee. This fee is due on the agent's first transaction of each anniversary year.

Residential Sales

Agents pay $500 for their first 12 transactions. This adds up to a $6000 annual CAP. After the CAP, they pay $99 per transaction.

Residential Leases

Agents pay $85 for each lease closed. Leases do not count towards an agent's CAP.

Initial Activation

Agents pay an initial activation fee of $99 when they join. As part of activation, agent will receive 200 business cards, 1 name badge, 6 Fathom Stickers, and a BizTap Digital Business Card. Sweet!!!!

Incoming Referrals

Agents do not have to pay a referral fee on referrals to other Fathom agents. Agents pay a $95 fee on all incoming non-Fathom referral commission. This is commission you receive from a non-Fathom agent when you refer to them a client. Referral fees do not apply toward the annual CAP.

High Value Properties

For all transactions that have a final sale price over $2.0 million, agents pay an additional $25 E&O Fee per $100,000 price increment over $2.0 million. (Note: The total fee on a $2.4 million property will still be $600 while the agent earned $71,400 (assuming a 3% commission). This is after paying their transaction fee of $500 plus the E & O fee of $100 in this example.)

Commercial Transactions

Fathom agents who are allowed to participate in commercial transactions pay a transaction fee of 10% of the commission amount earned per transaction on all funded commercial transactions, to include commercial sales and leases. The minimum split is $500.

Broker Price Opinion (BPO)

Agents pay a fee of $10 on all BPOs. BPOs do not apply toward the annual CAP.

Representing Both Side of a Transaction

Agents who represent both parties to a single real estate transaction in a dual agency scenario pay an additional $200 Risk Management Fee in addition to the transaction fee due on each side. This includes a husband and wife who are each representing a different side in the same transaction. (Note: E&O companies increase premiums based on the number of dual agency deals a company does each year due to the added risk)

Selling Personal Real Estate

Agents pay a $350 Risk Management Fee when selling personal real estate property where the agent represents him/herself. This includes all real estate property(ies) where an agent has potential personal financial gain. Agents are not permitted to represent both sides of a transaction when selling personal real estate property. Fathom encourages agents to hire another Fathom agent to handle the listing of their property to promote compliance and added protection from possible lawsuits. (Note: E&O companies increase premiums significantly based on the number of deals where an agent sells their own property due to the high risk of getting sued. A real estate agent is considered having an "advantage" and therefore is often viewed as guilty until proven innocent.)

If agents incur any miscellaneous fees that are not listed above or fees related to a transaction (e.g. misc. bank fees, wire transfer fees, MLS fees, etc.), those are the responsibility of the agent.
