Serving the Hispanic Community One Client at a Time

Fathom agent Betty Arguello has found professional success and personal satisfaction by getting deeply involved in her community. A native of Mexico, Betty strives to help Hispanics in the Dallas-Fort Worth area understand the process of buying a house and fulfill their dreams of homeownership. In the process, she’s won recognition for her service both to clients and to the community.

Betty believes her background has given her a special empathy for immigrant clients because she’s been in their shoes. After emigrating to the United States in 2004, she at first worked three jobs to make ends meet. One of those positions was as a loan officer, which led to her getting her real estate license so she could help her fellow Hispanics and others buy homes. She knows from experience that language barriers can result in misunderstandings that harm immigrants who want to own a home.

A commissioner for the Plano Housing Authority, Betty volunteers with Light of Hope in Law Services, a nonprofit supporting low-income families who face immigration challenges, and serves on its board. She is also a certified interpreter for immigration courts in Dallas and state courts in Arizona. Betty believes that it’s essential to understand her clients’ backgrounds, expectations and perspectives, and that belief has helped build her incredible success.

J.R. Russell, Fathom Realty District Director and Texas state broker, has singled out Betty for praise. “The rewards of service are something I wish more of our agents experienced. That you find time to serve is a testament to your time management and your servant leader’s heart. I’m proud to serve with talent like you!” And Tarrant Real Producers magazine took note of Betty’s contributions and achievements in an article earlier this year.

Betty will serve as the 2022 Chair for the Global Business Committee at MetroTex, a real estate resource for career advancement and professional development training in the Dallas area.

She is also a diversity member of both the National Association of REALTORS® and Texas REALTORS®. In addition, Betty is a Graduate of the REALTORS® Institute and is certified as a Seniors Real Estate Specialist, a Military Relocation Professional, and an International Property Specialist.

On a personal note, Betty and her husband are proud parents to Leslie, Ender, and Joshua and grandparents to three. A family of strong faith, they are members of the North Cities Pentecostal Church. Betty is dedicated to her local community and served as a PTA secretary and a Welcomewagon member.
