Why did I move from a big box brokerage and join Fathom? Top reasons are: Fathom's servant-leadership, business model, agent support, fee structure and stock grants.

*Team Leaders are eligible to earn CAP4Life or FREE4Life Status as part of Fathom’s Referral Program for referrals of team members and non-team members who join Fathom. Team leaders can apply up to four team members toward their CAP4Life goal. Beyond those first four team members, they will receive the $250 in stock grants, however, they will need to refer an additional four agents directly to Fathom (outside their team) to achieve FREE4Life status.
For example, if you are a Team Leader with nine agents, you will receive $2,250 in Stock Grants and achieve CAP4Life status. To achieve FREE4Life, you will need to refer an additional four (4) agents to Fathom who do not join your team. Team Leaders referring agents to their team will be awarded $250 in stock grants for each team member hired.

I have been a part of several real estate companies in the Triangle area. Fathom Realty is by far the best I have been associated with. They are fair, up to date with technology, have plenty of training, easy to communicate with, and great to work with. My District Director, Matthew Wertz, is awesome! He always responds to my questions and concerns. I haven't experienced that anywhere else. My last two years have been the best two years in my 14-year career. Fathom is great!

Building a Team With Fathom
Fathom's Team Plan is designed to help you build a successful team.
Here's how it works:
- Team leader pays $550 from their side of the sale until reaching CAP of 15 sales.
- Team members pay $550 from their side of the sale until reaching CAP of 5 sales.
- After the CAP is reached, transactions are only $150, charged only to the team member.
- The team leader will only pay a $150 transaction fee after they CAP if they are the ONLY person on the sale.
- There is only one fee of $85 charged on a lease. The team leader will only pay for this fee if they are the only person on the deal.
- The commercial transaction fee of 10% is taken off of the top of the deal before the team split. There are no other transaction fees charged on a commercial deal.
- Leases, commercial, and referrals do NOT count toward your CAP.

Monthly Fees
Short answer: none. Longer answer: Fathom agents do not pay any monthly fees. Zip, zilch, zero, nada.
Annual Fee
Agents pay a $600 annual fee. This fee is due on the agent's first transaction of each anniversary year.
Residential Sales
Agents pay $550 for their first 15 transactions. This adds up to a $8,250 annual CAP. After the CAP, they pay $150 per transaction.
Residential Leases
Agents pay $85 for each lease closed. Leases do not count towards an agent's CAP.
Initial Activation
Agents pay an initial activation fee of $99 when they join. As part of the activation, the agent will receive 200 business cards, a name badge, six Fathom Stickers, and a BizTap digital business card.
Incoming Referrals
Agents do not have to pay a referral fee on referrals to other Fathom agents. Agents pay a $95 fee on all incoming non-Fathom referral commission. This is commission you receive from a non-Fathom agent when you refer to them a client. Referral fees do not apply toward the annual CAP.
High Value Properties
For all transactions that have a final sale price over $2.0 million, agents pay an additional $25 E&O Fee per $100,000 price increment over $2.0 million.
Commercial Transactions
Fathom agents who are allowed to participate in commercial transactions pay a transaction fee of 10% of the commission amount earned per transaction on all funded commercial transactions, to include commercial sales and leases. The minimum split is $550.
Broker Price Opinion (BPO)
Agents pay a fee of $10 on all BPOs. BPOs do not apply toward the annual CAP.
Representing Both Side of a Transaction
Agents who represent both parties to a single real estate transaction in a dual agency scenario pay an additional $200 Risk Management Fee in addition to the transaction fee due on each side. This includes a husband and wife who are each representing a different side in the same transaction. (Note: E&O companies increase premiums based on the number of dual agency deals a company does each year due to the added risk)
Selling Personal Real Estate
Agents pay a $350 Risk Management Fee when selling personal real estate property where the agent represents him/herself. This includes all real estate property(ies) where an agent has potential personal financial gain. Agents are not permitted to represent both sides of a transaction when selling personal real estate property. Fathom encourages agents to hire another Fathom agent to handle the listing of their property to promote compliance and added protection from possible lawsuits. (Note: A real estate agent is considered having an "advantage" and therefore is often viewed as guilty until proven innocent.)
If agents incur any miscellaneous fees that are not listed above or fees related to a transaction (e.g. misc. bank fees, wire transfer fees, MLS fees, etc.), those are the responsibility of the agent.
