Over the weekend of July 29-30, 2022, members of five Fathom Realty Districts in Utah joined together to build a Habitat for Humanity home. Fifteen energetic volunteers served the project for 16 hours, prepping for the electricians, cutting holes for outlets and lights, landscaping, and organizing the building site.
The eco-community, built on a 2-acre abandoned baseball field in Kearns, UT, includes ten structures adding twenty new affordable homes. When completed, the community will have five structures on each side, with a lawn down the middle and a park on one end.
Georgia Wilcox and Maya Peterson shared a fantastic video of the project site and the meaning of the work as told by the Fathom volunteers. Here is what they had to say…
“For the last two days, Fathom has been volunteering for Habit For Humanity in Salt Lake City. What a great opportunity it has been. Thanks to the agents who gave their time.”
Georgia Wilcox
“What is so cool is the building site was a baseball field set for the movie Sandlot that was completely filmed in Utah!”
Crystal Grimes
“This has been such an exciting event, and this is the first time I’ve had a chance to participate. The best part is that we get to help people achieve the American dream of being a homeowner!”

Agent Doug Mandel from Fathom – Clearfield, UT, moved a lot of dirt on the property. The Fathom crew told Doug he was moving third base!
We appreciate our Fathom agents volunteering with this meaningful service and all they accomplished. They hit it right out of the ballpark! #FathomThat
