Fathom Realty takes immense pride in honoring one of our own, US Navy Veteran Tom Campbell, for his remarkable achievement in being installed as the 107th President of Virginia REALTORS®. This historic moment unfolded at the grand Amp’d Up Celebration during the Virginia REALTORS® Annual Convention 2023, which took place on the memorable Wednesday of September 20th with 300 fellow members in attendance. Adding a heartfelt touch to the occasion, Tom’s oath was administered by our Fathom Realty District Director, Mark Worrilow, Tom’s long-time friend and colleague.

Tom Campbell, a distinguished US Navy Veteran and an integral part of Fathom Realty – Virginia, achieved the illustrious position of Vice-President within Virginia REALTORS® in 2022. Tom’s journey of service and leadership within the real estate industry is nothing short of extraordinary. His unwavering commitment to this profession is evidenced by his extensive tenure on the Board of Directors, commencing in 2018, and his subsequent election as Treasurer in 2019. In addition to these responsibilities, Tom diligently served on the Public Policy Committee for six years and even assumed the role of Chair in 2017. Furthermore, his status as a certified Ethics instructor, a graduate of the VLA Class of 2011, and his consistent membership in the Virginia REALTORS® Honor Society since 2011 underline his dedication to excellence. Beyond the state level, Tom has also held the prestigious position of President within the Greater Piedmont REALTORS® (GPR), his local association.

A National and Statewide Presence

Tom’s contributions extend far beyond the borders of Virginia. Nationally recognized for his expertise and dedication, Tom has been a two-time appointee to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Public Policy Coordinating Committee, actively serving through the 2021 term. His commitment to advocacy is further evidenced by his Gold R/President’s Circle status with RPAC and his participation in the NAR Professional Standards and Arbitration Committee through 2024. Moreover, Tom has played a crucial role as a NAR REALTOR® Code of Ethics instructor, ensuring the industry’s highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

A Lifetime of Service

Tom’s service journey began with his enlistment in the U.S. Navy in 1971, followed by his appointment to the United States Naval Academy in 1973, culminating in his graduation in 1977. His dedication to public service extended into his civilian career, where he worked as a budget analyst for Northrup-Grumman until 2003. In that pivotal year, Tom decided to devote himself to the real estate business fully.

Impact Within Fathom Realty

As a licensed REALTOR® since 1997, Tom Campbell recognizes that this profession is both challenging and deeply rewarding. Joining Fathom Realty in 2016, he expanded his business and significantly impacted the REALTOR® community. Mark Worrilow highlights Tom’s exceptional accomplishments: “Beyond his real estate association activities, Tom was one of the top five agents in the 90 agents Fathom Realty, Warrenton, VA office in 2021. He looks forward to serving more clients, REALTORS®, and his community.”

Community Service

Tom’s commitment to service extends beyond the boundaries of the real estate world. He dedicated three years to the Board of Directors of the Fauquier County Chamber of Commerce, with two of those years serving as Vice-Chair of Legislative Affairs. Additionally, he contributed his expertise to the Greater Warrenton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, where he held the position of Secretary. Tom served as the President of the Rotary Club of Warrenton during the 2011-2012 fiscal year, and he also had the honor of chairing the regional Salvation Army Advisory Board.

Tom lives in Marshall, Virginia, with his wife Shelley, their son Sean, two dogs, Misty and Cinnamon, and two cats, Manny and Eva.
