On March 29, 2025, Shane and his brother, Wade Zimmerman, will be inducted into the Sul Ross State University (SRSU) Athletic Hall of Honor during the 37th Annual Alumni Hall of Honor Celebration. The ceremony, which will take place at the Pete P. Gallego Center in Alpine, Texas, will highlight distinguished alumni, athletics, and ALPS Rodeo inductees.

For Shane, this recognition is a testament to his unforgettable experiences while attending Sul Ross State University. “Some of my fondest memories as a youth were at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX, while earning my degrees and competing in collegiate tennis,” Shane shared. “It was an honor to discover that my efforts and achievements didn’t go unnoticed and that my brother, Wade Zimmerman, and I will be inducted into the 2025 Athletic Hall of Honor at SRSU. I’m flattered to be chosen as one of the inductees and excited to return to see the school that helped shape my life.”
